So much of what we hear about today is gloom and doom. I decided to create a blog where I and others can come for a little bit of happiness and maybe even laughter...it truly can be the best medicine. I hope these entries share a smile or two. Enjoy!

Everyone Loves A Good Movie

One of my favorite movies is coming out on DVD May 5th!! "Enchanted April"...no violence, action packed car chases...just clever dialog, friendship, and a good feeling at the end. And the scenery is breath-taking! To celebrate I'm doing another giveaway. I know, I know, I'm amazingly generous, spontaneous, and plain fabulous, but what can I say. Any hoo, leave a comment about one or two of your favorite movies and you'll be entered to win a $10.00 gift certificate to Target to put toward your favorite movie. I'll choose the winner Friday the 24th after 9am. Good luck and happy viewing.

I don't think that I have ever heard of this movie before. I'll have to look it up.

My all time favorite movie is Pride and Prejudice any version. I also enjoyed 27 Dresses and The Lakehouse.

Princess Bride is a timeless favorite but I think my most favorite movie is Quigley Down Under. I think it's the perfect couples movie with action packed scenes for the men and the love story for the women. Great one liners too such as "you gonna shoot it first?" referring to a nice meal of big fat grubs! Yum! I love this movie!

Aaah Enchanted April...If you haven't seen this movie you must. I saw it on the big screen and when they reach their destination it totally took my breath away. It makes you want to vist a castle in Italy. I love this show.

Hello Dolly and My Fair Lady are some all time favorites in the Musical department.

Other movies that I can watch over and over are the newest Pride and Predjudice. "I la... I love... I love you!" I love the dad in this version.

Stardust is a movie that includes romance, comedy, magic and action. It is all about "twoo wuv".

I do love action and adventure so The Incredibles are definately on that list.

I loved Enchanted April. You want to be in a place that is a tub of Love, right? I actually just DVR'd it last week but haven't had a chance to sit down and watch it yet.

The best romance I've watched recently is "The Notebook."

My favorite movie, as a teenager was "Some Kind of Wonderful."

I love "The Princess Bride" if you couldn't tell by the theme of my personal blog...
I could keep listing, but I'll add one more:
Joe vs the Volcano is a classic with Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan (as at least 3 different charchters) My favorite line in there is "I have no response to that."

"Widow's Peak" comic mystery-the cast is excellent. RottenTomatoes.com is a great website for looking up movie reviews. ("Enchanted April" got 100% positive reviews)
I need to see it!

Breaker Morrant remains etched in my mind as a great movie. It's about three British soldiers tried for trumped up war crimes during the Boer war. My favorite line from this movie is "He bloody well ought to be!"

I enjoy the animated Robin Hood from Disney. My favorite line here is "Mummy!"

Twilght was enjoyable. My favorite line is "STELLA!" (oh wait, wrong movie, wrong heroine)

I love the movie You've Got Mail. Don't really know why but I could watch it over and over again. I remember one night Mom, Dad, and I were staying out at the lake in the RV and Dad told me to pick out a movie to watch. I chose You've Got Mail and he said, "That One Again?!" I was nice and chose a different one. :)

This movie sounds divine! I cannot wait to see it. It is so hard for me to pick a favorite movie... I do love "Titanic"!! I have always been fascinated with the story of the Titanic and the movie was phenomenal!! I love any and all romantic comedies..."Music and Lyrics" was great! As far as action movies, I enjoy the "Bourne" series and the "Ocean's" seruies. Some fun, favorite movies from when I was younger... "Pillow Talk" "Big Business" "Grease" and "Troop Beverly Hills"!!

Um, I have never heard of this movie, "Enchanted April", but it sounds lovely!

I have a lot of favorite movies.
Here are some. . .(Excluding "Fandom"- e.g. Harry Potter.)

I have a personal enchantment to "The Prince of Egypt". The characters, the music, and the slightly different take on the difficulty Moses had to go against his family he knew and grown up with. I saw it in seminary, and the overall feel and emotion wrapped around it is rich! One part is where Moses admits to Rameses that he will no longer be a part of his old family by giving him back the ring Rameses had given him years before. This part shows the most intense sceniro, where the Pharo closes his eyes, but then when he opens them, the music changes, and you know there was a shift of the storyline.

Okay, more rambling . . .

"Enchanted" was another good one. It was original with its exchanging of worlds. Music and casting were also good.

I am a big fan of the Pixar movies.
My favorite though is "Incredibles", and "Wall-e" They were both great with their characters, and realism of dilouge, etc.

Okay, thanks!
