So much of what we hear about today is gloom and doom. I decided to create a blog where I and others can come for a little bit of happiness and maybe even laughter...it truly can be the best medicine. I hope these entries share a smile or two. Enjoy!

Pure Ambrosia

I promised a yummy giveaway this month, and here it is: In celebration of my birthday, I am giving away a pound gift certificate to See's Candies. One of the most delectable things in this world is well made chocolate. Although some of my favorite kinds are in Europe, See's puts out some tasty morsels. My favorite selections from See's are Milk Cocoanut, Strawberry cream, and Scotchmallow. Umm, umm. The best chocolate I ever had was an elephant made of white chocolate, with chocolate ganache in the middle. My in-laws brought it back from Belgium years ago and I still think fondly of it. Tell me your favorite See's chocolate and/or favorite chocolate truffle from somewhere else and you will be in the drawing. I will announce the winner on my Birthday this Friday. It will be a day of true celebration.

Is it wrong that I like Utah's (own) Truffles? LOL! I like anything dark and euro too but there is something to say about the experience of getting a Utah truffle after I buy my groceries every week.

My faves are Bluebird Chocolates from Logan, Ut. My mom got me hooked on Victoria Rum and Cherry Cordial when I was teen :) It is was a treat that even a poor married student could afford once in awhile!

Happy Birthday. I just got a box of Sees and chose scotchmallows and rasberry truffles. YUM! My favorite french chocolate bar is Nuit Blanc which is dark and white chocoalte together--then of course the Galler bars mmmm. My favorite from the chocolatier is a white chocolate bunny with praline filling-- delish!

So many to choose from, this is tough...well, I'll have to say recently my favorite has been the Extra Dark Truffle from Godiva. Yum! I also like their Key Lime Pie Truffle. Quit making me crave chocolate, Teresa! :)

Love Chocolate, but it has to be milk, I am not a dark fan. My all time favorite truffle is the Lindor truffles. Those centers are so creamy. MMMMMMMMmmmmmmm!!!!They don't last long.

Put me down for the key lime truffles and the scotchmellows. I'm not picky.
